The registers
method of analysis and identification of cognitive variables
pp. 73-111
Abstrakt
This chapter presents some possibilities to apply the theory of registers of semiotic representations to the classroom. It explains how to isolate and recognize the meaning units mathematically relevant in the content of a representation, how to identify the cognitive operations involved in establishing correspondences between different representations and how to analyze classroom activities and students' productions taking into account the didactically relevant variables.
