Abstrakt
Shortly after Courant returned to Göttingen, he introduced his friend from Münster, the industrialist Carl Still, to the Göttingen circle. At the begining of 1922, Still contributed 100,000 marks to the funds remaining in the treasury of the Göttinger Vereinigung. A new organization was formed with the same purposes as Klein's old group—the cultivation of the applications of mathematics in Göttingen.
