Nietzsche just encouraged us to learn to "play" and "float" "above morality". To attain such a free-spirited existence, we must recognize there is no deity. Moreover, we must conquer all vestiges of belief in an Absolute. Consequently, Nietzsche begins Book Three with the announcement of God's death and the need to overcome His shadow. He indicates we must de-deify nature completely to dispell that shadow and begin naturalizing ourselves. He urges us not to anthropomorphize and deify the world.
