The chapter then looks at Henry Crabb Robinson's period in Jena studying with Schelling, and his influence on Germain de Staël, whose De l"Allemagne was a key text in promoting Schelling's aesthetics in Britain. The chapter concludes with an initial evaluation of Coleridge's response to Schelling, examining his marginalia and focusing in particular on the period when Coleridge was most favourable in his response to Schelling's philosophy.
