Abstrakt
Alfred Weber's idealistic and Karl Mannheim's materialistic conception there were unambiguously opposite in a few points. These opposites, and also the rivalry of the two opponents, openly emerged during the Sixth German "Soziologentag" [Congress of Sociology] which took place from 17 to 19 September 1928 in Zurich.
