Approach to God

Clyde Pax

pp. 53-72

Abstrakt

As early as 1914 Marcel maintained that the affirmation of the reality of God must be the culmination of a complex act of faith, rather than the conclusion of a demonstration. In this chapter we will examine the nature of this act of faith, the ground which "justifies' this act and the implications which are joined to the affirmation or the refusal to affirm the reality of God.
