Reconnecting domination and exploitation
towards a transfeminist and new materialist critique of political economy
pp. 179-206
Abstrakt
The paper examines the link between language, social justice, and freedom, highlighting how this connection reveals conficts and transformations that have shaped diverse understanding of society. It contextualizes the “linguistic turn” as a response to the deindustrialization and fnancialization of economies in the Global North. Against the inadequacy of analyses that continue to separate the economic, social, political, and subjective spheres, the text explores the expansion of what's considered “productive” beyond traditional economic activities and the rise of a new “mathematical objectivity” that serves a political-social purpose. The paper focuses on the emergence of women as social and economic agents and how feminist epistemologies have interpreted these shifts. Since the mid-20th century, feminist thought has provided a privileged perspective for understanding the current moment and ofering vital theoretical and practical alternatives.
