Abstrakt

The topic of the textbook A Brief Introduction to Phenomenology (On Phenomenon) is to provide insights into the phenomenological research regarding the problem of the phenomenon, appearance. The four chapters gradually progress from a historical-philosophical introduction to the phenomenology of Edmund Husserl, through the elaboration of the problem of the phenomenon in the works of Martin Heidegger and Maurice Merleau-Ponty, to more recent phenomenological initiatives dealing, for example, with the connections between philosophy and art. Each chapter is followed by topics for reflection on the presented issues, as well as a selection of primary texts for reading. The intention of the textbook is also to highlight the inspiring and interesting developments within both domestic and international contexts that those interested in phenomenology can turn to, and alongside which they can embark on their own phenomenological journey.
