Ethics

Abstrakt
There will be pressing ethical issues to consider when education researchers and teachers work alongside children and video recording is in play. Whether it is children, teachers or researchers who are using cameras and editing software in an observational way, issues such as power imbalances, the ownership and dissemination of audio-visual recordings and the protection of children are prominent. Ethical principles may help orientate ethical considerations, but considering each circumstance with a thoughtful, respectful situated approach to ethics is preferred.
